Ok, I admit it, I love making resolutions. I love the possibilities that this time all my goals will be realized. But, man, I have so many!  Here are the ones that just pop into my head:

*  eat healthier — ideally that would be give up wheat, sugar and processed foods                  *  take care of myself–ideally tennis, yoga, weights, regular hair/nail/massage                       *  start learning a language –can be conversational in 3 months according to Tim Ferriss  *  spend more time w Coco and get her into more activities she loves — ballet, art & music  *  live more in the present and enjoy Coco in the moment before she grows up                       *  spend more time on photography & writing –blog daily, write book ideas, learn camera   *  get more stable financially –pay down debt, save                                                                       *  stop complaining, be grateful and give thanks daily

And there’s more.  But I don’t want to be like so many of us and fail by mid-January.  So I must pare down.  Let’s see… do these sound more realistic?

*  eat healthier — don’t bring wheat or sugar products into the home, reduce all when out    *  sign up for tennis lessons, do other exercises at home with tapes                                            *  massage 1x/wk, nail appointment 2x/mo, hair appt. 1x/every 2 months                                *  open my Rosetta Stone and start reviewing French or Spanish                                                 *  signing Coco up for ballet, dinner out every Wednesday after her swimming lesson           *  blog daily (, start one book, learn camera                      *  start Dave Ramsey’s Total Money Makeover                                                                                  *  wear bracelet and switch wrists w every complaint, be grateful, give thanks

And if that’s too detailed and complicated?

*  no candy                                                                                                                                                  *  work out once a week                                                                                                                           *  look presentable                                                                                                                                   *  practice French via Skype with one of 5 friends who speak it fluently                                   *  ballet                                                                                                                                                      *  blog lots, take better pictures                                                                                                           *  pay off one credit card                                                                                                                        *  be grateful

And if I can’t manage that?

*  Share a Snickers, paid for in cash, with Coco after her ballet lesson and blog about it?

Nah!  I am going to DO THIS cause it’s January 2012 and I’ve made my resolutions and I’m sticking to them!  I will update you monthly and let you know how things are going!
